Massive Scale Online Collaboration

1  .      Define what a CAPTCHA is in your own words.
      A Captcha is a a thing where you have to retype the word that is in front of u to comfirm your not a robot.
2  .      What is the purpose of websites using CAPTCHAS?
      To make sure your not a computer program that is trying to make an account.
3  .      List 5 websites you have been to that require a CAPTCHA to be used.
      Facebook is one of the websites that use captchas.
      Twitter is another one.
      Instagram.
      Snapchat.
      Hotmail.
4  .      How are CAPTCHAS helping to digitalize books?
      It helps cuz computers are translating the world but some of the words cant be read by a computer translater but a person translate it for them.
5  .      Think of some examples that utilize many people, all over the world, working together on a single project.
      Well duolingo is one of them in the world
6  .      Brainstorm how you think we could motivate individuals to contribute to massive online project for free. List at least 3 ways.
